Answer:

Bangle makers of Firozabad are trapped in a vicious circle of poverty. However hard they try, they can’t come out of it. There are many blocks responsible for their condition.

The first is the mental block. They feel bangle-making is their destiny and they can’t break the God-given lineage.

The second block is the social block. Society comprising the shahukars , the middlemen, the policemen, the keepers of law, the bureaucrats and the politicians don’t let them come out of their poverty. Their evil nexus does not let them be free. If they try to make cooperatives, the above mentioned people don’t let them work. Approximately 20,000 children work in the glass furnaces with high temperatures, in dingy cells without air and light, often losing the brightness of their eyes. Thus the bangle-makers of Firozabad live in a state of perpetual poverty and exploitation.

Answer:

Sarojini Naidu, the authoress paints a rather bleak picture of bangle sellers, because they are born, live in, and die in poverty. They remain uneducated as well as poor.

They cannot go for another profession due to the interference from money lenders, middlemen, policemen, and politicians. They are unable to organize themselves into a coopoerative as they do not have a capable leader. They only talk, but take no action to progress in life.
