advantages:since there are only two parties,it is relatively easy for the electorate to evaluate the parties based on their promises and policies.the the party in opposition makes the ruling party function effectively.
disadvantages:in a Bi-party system if both of them proved to be inefficient or bad there is no hope of electing a third party to power.if both the parties come to an understanding with each other then people could be fooled.the mistakes of the parties as well as the corruption in the party could be hidden
