What are the metabolic wastes of haemoglobin of dead R.B.C?

The hemoglobin molecule is split off and the haem part is converted into biliverdin and iron. Biliverdin is converted into bilirubin and excreted into bile through the liver. The iron from haem is reused for RBC formation. The dead RBCs are also transported to the spleen, which is also known as the graveyard of RBCs.
