The crops are of various types as the soil vary from region to region. Some plans grow in mildly  acidic soil including carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, garlic, sweet peppers, pumpkins, winter squash and tomatoes etc.

On other, some plants grow in mildly basic soil ranging from pH from 6 to 8. These crops include Beans, Beet, Brussels Sprouts, Pea, sweat potato etc.

Apart from this, temperature and season also matters.

for example, if you try to cultivate apples in hot region, it won't be possible to give you fruits as it is the fruit that is cultivated in high mountains where the temperature is low.

Therefore, the pH of the soil, pesticides and insecticides used for them, proper care of crops and  temperature are to be first studied so that your labour may not go waste. Before selecting the crops to cultivate, if you have studied about these all, you will be able to grow good crops.
