Methods to visualize actin filaments:
Actin is the "muscle protein" and it is the "integral part of muscle filament". It comprises of two types of sub-units.
They are "G actin" and "F actin".
There are variety of methods to visualize the Actin filaments. They are
- " F-actin marker phalloidin" is the standard test of 'actin' that stains into the "actin in muscle" and it is helpful in fixing for the microscopic visualization.
- The "electron microscopy" with gold staining is another test that is a little bit "expensive" and needs for many "improved instruments" and "technology".
- And "immuno fluorescence" technique where the 'actin' is bounded by the antibody that is again coated with "some fluorescent dye", so it can be 'visible in microscopy'.
