Hey ,
Minerals occurs mainly in these forms :-
01 ) In metamorphic and igneous rocks
>> found in crakes .
>> smaller occurance is known as "veins".
>> larger occurance is known as " lodes".
>> found in liquid or molten state .
>> ex :- tin , copper , zinc , lead , etc .
02 ) In sedimentary rocks
>> occurance in beds or layers .
>> formed of decomposition or accumulation .
>> ex :- coal , some forms of iron , gypsum , potash , petroleum , etc
03 ) By decomposition of surface rocks
>> ex :- bauxite .
04 ) Alluvial deposits
>> in sandy or valley region
>> they are known as placer deposits
>> ex :- gold , silver , platinum
05 ) Ocean occurance
>> in beds of ocean
>> ex :- common salt , magnesium , bromine

Mode of Occurrence of Minerals. Minerals are generally found in "ores", which is actually an accumulation of any mineral mixed with other elements. To obtain a pure mineral, the it has to be separated from its ore. Minerals generally occur in the cracks, crevices, faults and joints of the igneous and metamorphic rocks.Mineral - Occurrence and formation: Minerals form in all geologic environments and thus under a wide range of chemical and physical.usually formed when minerals in liquid/molten and gaseous forms are forced upwards through cavities towards the earth's surface. Examples: tin, copper, zinc, lead, etc. In sedimentary rocks: In these rocks, minerals occur in beds or layers
