The molecular formula of Ethanoic acid is CH3COOH.
Carbon has the unique property to form bonds with other carbon atoms to form large change & this property is called catenation.
When Ethanol reacts with ethanoic acids in presence of an acid catalyst it forms ester,ethyl acetate which is a sweet smelling liquid.
