The "most common source" of synthetic fibres is "Hydrocarbons". "Synthetic fibres" are also known as "man-made fibres" which are obtained through chemically processing petrochemicals. Hydrocarbons obtained from petrochemicals, These are molecules of "carbon and hydrogen" and combine to form monomers. Different monomers  combine to forms polymers. The structure of polymers is like a chain which is made of multiple units where each unit is a monomer. Some examples of synthetic fibres are Rayon . nylon, Acrylic and polyester.
