Answer:

As soon as I was able to read, my parents made me memorize the Ten Commandments. In addition, they took the time to explain each and every one to me. Even in the earliest years of my life, these rules seemed fairly basic and simple to understand. The scripture basically told me not to kill, steal, lie, disobey my parents, or be jealous of what my neighbors and friends had. For me, while I am not an extremely religious person, my morals are based on these commandments.

My religious beliefs are a combination of what I have been taught and what I believe in my heart. Some organized religions use people's faith to justify the exact opposite of what was intended. I feel that religion has become too involved in economics and politics. I prefer to pray to God and live a good life, as opposed to adhering to strict religious guidelines.

My morals and ethical values are strongly influenced by my family. My parents have taught me, through their words and example, that marriage is a sacred institution. I do not want to be a divorcee nor do I want my children to be part of a divorced family. Because of this, I will do my best to find a partner who I am confident will be by my side for a lifetime.

My morals and values are a number of core values that my parents taught me, as well as many that I developed throughout my life experiences. My morals are based on what I believe is right and wrong and they are not negotiable. If I know, in my heart, that something is wrong, I will not try to come up with reasons to make it right. For example, when I have a project to complete and I know that it is important to do it on time, I will not make excuses to procrastinate. In addition, I will not participate in behavior that is harmful to someone else just because everyone else is doing it.
