The different types of teeth are Incisors, Canines, Premolars and Molars.

Incisors - They are used for cutting and chopping.  There are 4 incisors in an adult person.

Canines - They are used for tearing and shredding.  There are 2 canines in an adult person.

Premolars and Molars - They are used for crushing and grinding food.  There are 4 premolars and 6 molars in an adult person.
