2. Member states were restricted to maintain huge armies, warships, and destructive armaments.
3. The major aim of the league of nations was to settle disputes among the member states and to maintain peace and order.

After the The First World War Ended in 1919 by Paris Peace Conference. The Nations of the Allied power collectively formed the League of Nations on 10 January 1920. Woodrow Wilson is considered to be the founder of this organisation. The League of Nations was the first intergovernmental organization created to achieve and maintain world peace.

The major objectives of the League of Nations were:

  • Creating and enforcing international laws.
  • Maintaing peace and international security of all the nations all over the globe.
  • Preventing wars and disputes between nations.
  • Encouraging and organising negotiations to solve international disputes.
  • Encouraging diplomacy and peaceful ways to solves international issues rather than disputes.
  • Improving global welfare of the social and working class of various countries. It founded the International labour organization which is still a part in the United Nations.

However, the League of Nations wasn't able to enforce much of its objectives because it lacked its own military power.
