a> The experiment of scattering particles was done by Rutherford

i> he observed that most of the alpha particles was moving in a straight line without any deflection

ii> then he observed that some of the alpha particles are deflecting but in very small angles

iii> At last he observed very few alpha particles are moving back by 180 degree to its source

then he concluded that most of the part of an atom is vacant and a small charge is there that means the nucleus is very small as compared to the size of an atom this led to the discovery of nucleus.
