What are the odds of there being another 'Earth' in Space?

If we asked astronomers and astrophysicists whether there were planets around other stars, the answer would have been "probably but we don't know for sure". But because of advanced equipment and new techniques, we have now discovered that thousand of stars within our own galaxy have their own Solar System.
