The parent disciplines of exercise science are anatomy and physiology. Exercise science looks at how the body responds to training, and this requires the knowledge about body structures which comes from anatomy and the knowledge about bodily processes which comes from physiology. One could add physics to this list as biomechanics deals with the forces and responses required to generate movement of the body. You could even pull back further to note chemistry leads to biochemistry which leads to biology which leads to anatomy and physiology. It all depends on how general of relationships you want to consider.
