solution in which the mole fraction of benzene is 0.6? What is the total vapour pressure of pure benzene 95.1mm Hg and vapour pressure of pure toluene 28.4 mm Hg at 25°C

Answer:

so as mole fraction (x) of benzene is 0.6 , x of Toluene will be 0.4

so partial press = P total * mole fraction of the substance

so Partial p of benzene = 0.6 * 95.1 =57.06

and Partial p of Toluene is 0.4 * 28.4= 11.36

both answers in mm Hg unit

Hope this helps :)
