ANSWER :
The crest is the highest point in a sound wave. A wavelength is the length between one crest the other or from one trough to the other. The amplitude of a sound wave is the measurement from the rest point to the crest. The compression is the point in a sound wave where the particles are close together. The expansion is the point in a sound wave when the particles are spread out.

Four main parts to a sound wave:
- Wavelength: The wavelength is used to calculate the distance between two adjacent points(peak) on a wave. The Short waves have high sound and the long waves have low sound. It is measured in meters(m).
- Period: The period is the time taken for a wave to move to another wave(point). It is the time taken to complete one oscillation in a sound. If the period is long then it shows a lower pitch.
- Amplitude: The amplitude is measured by the height of the wave. It determines the volume of a wave. If the wave is high, then the amplitude is large.
- Frequency: As per second, the total number of waves are produced in a sound is called the frequency of a sound. It is measured in Hertz(Hz).
Hence, the parts of a sound wave are wavelength, period, amplitude, and frequency.
