Indian Constitution is the supreme law of our country. It is also known as "National law" or "Municipal law". It regulates the Governmental machinery of Country comprising :-
Executive
Legislature
Judiciary
In simple words Constitutional law of country lays down the rules, principles,provisions for working of the constitution of country.

There are numerous powers and functions of Indian constitution
¤ It makes India A sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic Republic country.

¤ It is Quasi federal means It has divided it's powers among Union & State.

¤ It provides parliamentary democracy and Cabinet form of Government.

¤ It gives Indian citizens various fundamental rights contained in Part lll ( Articles 12-35).
Such as Right to life and personal Liberty, Freedom of speed and expression, Movement, business etc.

¤ Single citizenship

¤ Fundamental duties

¤ Powers of High court (Article 226) and Supreme court( Article 32) to decide in the case of violation of Fundamental rights, i. e Writ jurisdiction
