A hygrometer is an instrument used to measure the amount of humidity in the atmosphere.
Precautions :
1.) No source of heat nearby when taking readings.
2.) Bulbs of thermometers should be wiped out properly so as to make it dust / dirt free.
We do this since impurities affect evaporation rate of water.

Hygrometer is a special kind of a device that was invented to get the measure or to measure the humidity that is present in the atmosphere.
There are a few precautions that needs to be dealt with:
- The hygrometer should not be kept beside any sources of heat or anything that radiates heat while we are taking its readings.
- The hygrometer has a thermometer which has to be wiped properly before we take readings from it so that it is not spoilt and we get a proper reading.
