What are the precautions to be taken while diluting an acid

→ While we are dissolving an acid or base in water it is an exothermic reaction.
→ While we are diluting an acid in water care must be taken before hand itself.
→ The acid should be added slowly to the water with constant stirring.
→ NOTE : We should "NEVER" add water to the acid because a lot of heat will be evolved from the mixture and it may even splash out.

diluting an acid means adding water to an concentrated acid solution . The precautions are :- we should wear protective gloves , it is better that we add acid in a water solution and although we should add a very few drops and it is necessary that we stir the solution we should not directly put whole acid in the water as it will be an exothermic reaction and the beaker can also burst.......That's all
