We can dilute by drinking plenty of water. while diluting an acid ,acid should be dropped. not water because when water is dropped the exothermic reaction takes place and a large amount of heat is released.

Answer:

While we are dissolving an acid or base in water it is an exothermic reaction.

While we are dissolving an acid or base in water it is an exothermic reaction.→ While we are diluting an acid in water care must be taken before hand itself.

While we are dissolving an acid or base in water it is an exothermic reaction.→ While we are diluting an acid in water care must be taken before hand itself.→ The acid should be added slowly to the water with constant stirring.
