Answer :
The fundamental capacity of a leaf is to create sustenance for the plant by photosynthesis.
Chlorophyll, the substance that gives plants their trademark green shading, retains light vitality.
The interior structure of the leaf is ensured by the leaf epidermis, which is ceaseless with the stem epidermis. The focal leaf, or mesophyll, comprises of delicate walled, unspecialized cells of the sort known as parenchyma.
As much as one-fifth of the mesophyll is made out of chlorophyll-containing chloroplasts, which retain daylight and, related to specific chemicals, utilize the brilliant vitality in deteriorating water into its components, hydrogen and oxygen. The oxygen freed from green leaves replaces the oxygen expelled from the climate by plant and creature breath and by burning.
The hydrogen acquired from water is joined with carbon dioxide in the enzymatic procedures of photosynthesis to shape the sugars that are the premise of both plant and creature life.

The primary function of green leaves is photosynthesis. They produce food for consumers by absorbing light energy from the sun and water from the soil. Green leaves are also important in oxygen cycle and in carbon cycle because they give off oxygen for us to breathe and they absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere thereby cleaning our air.
