1. They were denied from their basic rights.

2. Their traditional work system i.e. cutting wood from forest were banned.

3. They were even not allowed to enter in the forest.

For an instant a guerilla militant was formed because like every forest British banned the entry of the tribe to enter in the forest are to graze cattle or to collect fuel wood in Gudem hill of Assam.

By this not only Thier livelihood was affected but they thought that their traditional rights were denied.

He talked about greatness of Mahatma Gandhi and said that he was inspired by him.

But Gandhiji believed in non violence and he believed in violence.

He pursued people to wear Khadi and to give up drinking.He said that he could also survive a bullet shout.

The Gudem rebels attacked police stations attempted to kill British officers and carried on Guerilla wellfare for achieving swaraj.Raju was captured and executed in 1924,over time became folk hero.
