-Railway cannot be laid on hilly regions like himalayas
-It is difficult to lay tracks in deserts of rajasthan, swamps of gujarat and forested areas of MP, chattisgarh, jharkhand, etc
-its difficult to tracks on wide beds of rivers
-theft by people, unnecessary pulling of chains and travelling of people without tickets also is a problem
-the tracks and wagons are made up of metals which is expensive.......
