Heya!!

A series of mitotic divisions whereby the enormous volume of egg cytoplasm is divided into numerous smaller, nucleated cells.

These cleavage-stage cells are called blastomeres.

Process of cleavage

↪The newly formed zygote divides into two cells, the blastomeres.

↪The next division occurs within forty hours after fertilization and third about three days after fertilization.

↪At the end of fourth day, the embryo reaches uterus, this solid mass is known as morula.

↪When blastomere divide completely the cleavage is called holoblastic.
