The government has taken steps to improve the levels of groundwater in villages. A few measures taken to improve the water table are:-
1. Rainwater harvesting.
2. Construction of infrastructure to improve and restore groundwater used for domestic, agricultural, and irrigational purposes.
3. Water from areas with adequate supply is channelized underground to be used during drought times or is dropped into aquifers.
4. Limiting the usage levels for every household in order to provide equal quantities to everyone.
5. Desalination and Per-vaporization to convert salt water to fresh water.
