Answer:

Question :-

What are the properties of acid?

Firstly , we shall know that what is an acid?....

According to Arheniuns, acid is a substance, which on dissolving in water, dissociate into H+ or Hydrogen ions completely.

#PROPERTIES OF AN ACID:-

1. It is sour in taste.

2. It changes blue litmus paper into red litmus paper.

3. It completely dissociates into H+ ions.

4. It conducts electricity.

# MORE INFORMATION:-

We should always put some drops of acid in water but not water in acid because adding water in acid is a highly exothermic process. If not done very carefully, it may cause splash and burns in the vessel may burst. So, we should add acid in water not water in acid.

EXOTHERMIC PROCESS:-

In this , large amount of heat and energy is released.

ENDOTHERMIC PROCESS:-

It is the opposite of exothermic process. In this , a large amount of heat and energy is absorbed.

HOPE IT HELPS....

THANKS....

HAVE A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD....
