Properties of Ionic compound are :

• physical nature- ionic compounds are generally solid and hard but when force is applied on them they break
• Solubility-they are generally soluble in water but they are not soluble in solvents like petrol and diesel
• melting and boiling point-they generally have high melting and boiling point because they need a considerable amount of energy to break the strong inter ionic attraction.
• conduction of electricity-bhej only conduct electricity when they are in liquid form because in solid form they do not have molecules to move as their position is fixed.
