pros: the same standard for everyone, there is little crime because the law is strictly enforced, eliminates local cultures and hereditary elites, and a lot of communist countries invest in education
cons: too much focus on the group, instead of the individual, you can't raise your standard without being corrupted and active in politics, no personal freedoms. Many executions if you went against the communist government.

Pros:

All people are equal in the eyes of government. Everyone has a right to job. Government provides stable governance. The laws are intended to building a stronger economy and harmonious sharing of national resources. Goals of the state are above the goals of the individual. There is no competitive market. Benefits go to the government and redistributed among people.  For good utilization of natural resources communism is a better way.  Production is controlled by the state.  This benefits larger mankind and prevents exploitation by some individuals to grow too rich. The state looks after the medical needs, recreational facilities and education for all. Employment of people is given importance.  Communism promises equality for women in law and gives them special status.

Cons:

People have to work to earn. People often do not have many choices to pursue anything they want. There is a restriction of ownership of properties by individuals.  Entrepreneurs and industry owners may face difficulty in expansion of business. There is state intervention in many important matters. People often think that they are force to live in a bad world.

If communism is implemented in India, then the industrialists and capitalists will face a lot of problem.  Poor people and working class benefit. The total face of the political and economical scene will change. We will have different allies. The control on prices will be more. So inflation will reduce. The middlemen and contractors who are benefiting a lot now, will suffer to some extent.
