Explanation:

Has India ever had a proper social reform? Every social reform has come at the cost of a Law compulsorily being enacted rather than creating awareness about the situations at hand.

The advantages are negligible and disadvantages are magnified.

Eg: Untouchables and Untouchability is a crime according to Independent Indian Laws. One mustn't discriminate according to this Law but have the people had any awareness as to why untouchability was practiced.

In 1920's , there were no soaps or vaccinations to get rid of pandemics so few people who did menial jobs were asked to stay out of the towns and villages as an isolation zone.

Today, Covid-19 has shown the world what is untouchability, what is isolation zone, etc.

Now , I question the SC and ST ,will you change the laws for better assimilation of all in the society? If you feel poverty quota is better, then one can scale up the EBC quota and caste based quota can be reduced.

The future is in your hands if you want equality as said by : Dr.Ambedkar :

Although Dr.Ambedkar had differences of opinion with Mahatma Gandhi, yet Mahatma Gandhi spoke this for equality :

The time is ripe to forego our differences in caste, religion and move ahead to initiate Uniform Law that provides equality based on religion, caste and gender.
