✏ He should be a citizen of India.

✏He should be 35 years of age at the time of election.

✏He should be an eligible voter and should be eligible for contesting elections to Lok Sabha.

✏He should not hold any office of profit under the central or State Government .If he holds such a post, his should vacate the post before seeking the electio.

✏He should not be member of parliament .

• A person shall be eligible for election as president if he is a citizen of India.
• A person shall be eligible for election as president if he has completed the age of thirty five years.
• A person shall be eligible for election as president if he is qualified for election as a member of the Lok Sabha.
