Qualifications to Become an MP. As per article 84 of the constitution, a person is qualified to be a member of parliament provided he: is a citizen of India. has completed 30 years of age in case of Rajya Sabha and 25 years in case of Lok Sabha

The qualifications are as follows :

1. He should be an Indian citizen .

2, He should be at least 25 years of age.

3. He should have his name in the electoral rolls in some part of the country.

4. He should not be of unsound mind.

5. He should not be a proclaimed criminal .

6. He should not be insolvent.

7. He should not hold any office of profit under the Government.
