According to article 316, it is stated that no less than one-half of the members of UPSC intend to be the individuals who have continued being in office for at best 10 years moreover under Government of India or Government of a State. Nevertheless, it has not quantified any experiences for other half members of UPSC.

A member of UPSC means to maintain the office for a period of 6 years from the day on which he goes in into the office or while waiting for being 65 years any of them is primitive. On condition that a member can give notice any time to President and will get uninvolved from his office.

The President can hire one of the members of UPSC as temporary chairman if the office of chairman turns unoccupied or if the chairman of UPSC is due to absenteeism or for any other inept to achieve his obligations.

Article 319 – The Chairman of UPSC is not entitled to service whichever under Government of India or a State. The other members of UPSC are only fit.

The President of India appoints the Chairman and other members of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Generally, the members of the commission are the civil servants with at least 10 years of experience either in Central or State service.
