- You must be Indian citizen.
- Age must be more than 35 years.
- Not be a member of house of the parliament (Loksabha and Rajyasabha) or house of the state legislature (Vidhansabha or Vidhan Parishad).
- Not hold a profit office.
- Not the residence of the same state ( It is not mandatory in constitution).
