There can be several questions, like: Why do the stars twinkle? What are constellations, how are they formed? How far are the stars and moon from Earth?

Answer:

It's sheer luck if you live at a place where the pollution levels are low leaving the air clean and stars visible with all their brilliance.

In the kid years I used to find the moon walking along with me whether moving on foot or on wheels.Later I wondered how I could have walked straight without stumbling if I kept looking at the moon. Then realized that this memory must be from when I was carried around as a baby.

I have lived for most of my life in a less industrialized town in the hills which made it possible to gaze at the star filled sky and be mesmerized and humbled.....Yes that is the word..by the vastness and unfathomable divine nature of the event.

It gives you a calm and serene feeling ,far from the teen-teen and poun-poun of the traffic and the chaos of the mundane life seems left behind or far into the future.

When you find yourself so tiny in the huge universe,a vacuum like feeling arises in your guts..a hollowness.emptiness.loneliness and you close your eyes and make a silent wordless prayer. It's not you but the homunculus in your head is kneeling in front of his/her creator.

This feeling was most relived in the masterpiece movie ''Contact' which is about a scientist,Ellie Arroway, who finds evidence in the form of radio message from outer space containing designs of a space craft.

After the space travel she is questioned as apparently she didn't go into space as the spacecraft remained unmoved on earth but Ellie insists..
