Raw materials required by plants for photosynthesis are- carbon dioxide, chlorophyll and water.
Factors affecting photosynthesis-
Carbon dioxide concentration- co2 in natural air varies between 0.03 to 0.04 percent. Increase in co2 upto0.05 percent increases photosynthesis.but beyond that photosynthesis becomes less.
Temperature-
In presence of plenty of light and co2, photosynthesis increases with rise in temperature.but above optimum temperature,ie.25 to 30 degrees temp. Becomes a limiting factor.
Water
Being one of the raw materials, water is necessary for photosynthesis.an increase in water content of leaves results in corresponding increase in photosynthesis.
