There are several factors responsible for the population increment. The growth in the population rate impacts the economy and environment. The reason for the rapid growth of the population is as follows:

  • Decline of Death Rate: The decline in the death rate due to the advancement of medical science. Now man has cured every fatal disease. This has increased the increment in life expectancy.
  • Rise in the Birth Rate: The advancement in nutritional science has increased the fertility rate in humans which has led to overpopulation.
  • Migration: If the people migrate from one place to another and settle at that place this widely affects the population of the area. The rate of emigration from a certain country should match the rate of emigration to that country or it leads to overpopulation.
  • Lack Of Education: Illiteracy is one of the major causes of overpopulation. As people do not understand the problem caused by the growth of the population and the harmful effects it has on the country.
