There are various reasons why people fear Mathematics.


1) The negative views people have shared with them concerning mathematics.

2) The fear of dealing with large numbers.

3) Some fear the formulas they meet in a mathematics class.

4) Some words such as unknown used in maths could be scary when one imagines they are required to find something unknown.

5) Some word problems in mathematics which require serious analysis before solving could be so scary.

6) Lastly how the teacher handles the subject really matters. He can make it simpler or even more difficult.
