Hey.... Mate....this is ur answer

The spark that led to a mutiny in several sepoy companies was the issue of new gunpowder cartridges for the Enfield rifle in February, 1857. A rumour was spread that the cartridges were made from cow and pig fat. Loading the Enfield required tearing open the greased cartridge with one's teeth.......

here is your answer =

immediate cause of revolt -

in 1856 Enfield rifle was introduced in the army the cartridges of this rifle were smeared with grease and covered with caps which had to be bitten off before use. The sepoys believed that the grease was made from the fat of animals which would hurt the religious sentiments of both Hindus and Muslims. so, they refused to use them. on 29 march 1857 mangal pandey called upon his fellow sepoys to revolt against Britishers. This was the immediate cause of revolt of 1857.
