Reason of water scarcity are:
1. OVERPOPULATION
The no. of people are increasing in India. This leads to higher requirements for water and thus watervis scarce.
2.URBANISATION
as the population increases, the demand of shelter and other facilities also increases. This can be achieved by extending the urban areas which also destroys water resources.
3.INDUSTRIALISATION
industrial revolution in India has also brought with it the problem of water scarcity. Water resources are polluted recklessly by throwing out wastes from industries without processing them and it leads to a large amount of water to get polluted and thus, leading to water scarcity in India
