There are several reasons that prevent the poor from getting bank loans. The main and the foremost important reason is suspicion about their capacity to repay those loans. Secondly they mostly do not have the financial strength to provide any collateral against the loan they are seeking. The poor people are thus forced to go to personal money lenders that charge them huge amount of interests.
