Demerits:

1. can travel only short distance.
2. Most roads being unmetalled gets damaged during rainy season.
3. Traffic, narrow bridges etc.

Railways:

merits:

1. travels long distance in short time.
2. Can carry alot of people along with goods.
3. Multi function activities can be done like sightseeing business and piligrimage.

Dermerits:

1. Ticketless travel.
2. costly to construct and maintain.
3. Theif and pulling chain without reason leads to delay of train.
