Hey Bharani,

Eosinophilia
is a chronic disorder and it results from excessive production of a particular type of white blood cells known as 'eosinophils'. Eosinophils are produced in the bone marrow which helps the body fight infection from parasitic organisms. They contain proteins that help the body fight infection from parasitic organisms. It has been estimated that about 5-10% of white blood cells constitute eosinophils. Higher count indicates actual progressing eosinophilia that can cause significant health diseases. well see, The proteins present in eosinophils can damage the body. In eosinophilic pneumonia, a high number of eosinophils are produced in the lungs. There are some other disorders that can cause eosinophilia and they may range from simple hay fever to life threatening tumor.

Treatment for eosinophilia is based on the causal factors i.e. an allergy, a medicine reaction or a parasitic infection. Allergic and connective tissue disorders may be treated with the help of corticosteroids.
