Answer:

The respiratory pathways include:-

  • Nostrils
  • Nasal Cavity
  • Larynx
  • Trachea
  • Bronchi - Lungs
  • Bronchioles - Lungs
  • Bronchial Tubes - Lungs
  • Alveoli - Lungs

The air enters the respiratory system from nostrils and goes to the alveoli.

The dust particles are removed in the nostrils itself with the help of hair like structures present inside the nose.

The air hence in the alveoli is much pure than the air outside in the environment.

Near the alveoli, there is a presence of a large number of capillaries.

The capillaries consist of deoxygenated blood.

Here, the exchange of gases process takes place.

The oxygen from the air in the alveoli gets exchanged from the carbon dioxide in the blood resulting in oxygen rich blood.

The in which consists carbon dioxide now is removed from the same respiratory system.

The oxygen rich blood is then pump to the whole body by the heart.

Respiratory pathways are as follows :

=>Nose

=>Nasal cavity

=>Pharynx

=>Larynx(voice box)

=>Trachea (wind pipe)

=>Bronchi

=>Bronchioles

=>Alveoli

The air present outside is inhaled through the nose which then travels along the nasal passage,pharynx , larynx and trachea and the dust particles are removed.

Passing along the bronchi, bronchioles of the lungs it enters to small air sack like structure called as Alveoli, where the diffusion of gases takes place.

In the alveoli there are capillaries which helps in exchanging gases.

This air contains oxygen and the blood contains carbon -dioxide.

Then by diffusion and exchange of gases the oxygen gas is mixed with the blood and carbon - dioxide is exhaled out.
