what are the roles of intercostals muscles and diapragm in respiration?

Answer:

The Diaphragm is attached to the sternum, the lower parts of rib cage and the Spine.As it contracts, it increases length and diameter of the chest cavity and hence expands the lungs. Tge intercostal muscles help move the rib cage and helps us in breathing.
