for IIT JEE u must a student of 12th class....u should obtain 75% in boards to get into IIT....for this xam u need to be focused on 11 th n 12th syllabus....for JEE Mains u need study NCERT level only...bt IIT Advance u need to study from other books like...HCV or cengage is good for physics...P Bahadur's book is good for physical chemistry....and prabhat kumar's book is good for inorganic chemistry.....and for organic chemistry there is a book only for question i.e. M S Chouhan....For maths u can take cengage...

1st thing is scoring minimum of 75% in 12 class .
Books are many so we need concentrate on theory that is concept.
For physics Hc Verma....arihant..etc
Chemistry organic grb....physical bhadhur etc
Maths MTB and rd Sharma.etc
