Heya!!
Just as a symbol represents one atom of an element, a chemical formula represents one molecule of an element or a compound.
▶The chemical formula of a compound tells you which elements have combined to form the compound.
▶ It also tells you the number of atoms of each element present in one molecule of the compound.
The rules to write a chemical formula is as follows:
1. Write down the chemical symbol of your element or compound.
2. Note down its atomicity i.e, the number of atoms in the molecule of an element.
Write down the chemical symbol and then its atomicity in superscript.
Hope helped!!

The Rules for writing a chemical formula are :
We first write the symbol of elements which form the compound.
Below the symbol of each element, we write down its valency
Finally we cross the valency of the combining atoms . that is with first atom we write the valency of second atom and with second we write the valency of first atom
