as we know that biology is a multidisciplinary field, it is not that if you have taken biology in 12 then you will become only a doctor. there are some other scopes also,which are enlisted as below:

1.B.Sc(Biotechnology)-3 years
2.B.Tech(Biotechnology)-4 years
3.M.Tech(Biotechnology0 - 5 years
4.M.Sc(Agriculture) Biotechnology- after B.sc.-2 years
5.M.Sc(Marine) Biotechnology- after B.Sc.-2 years

after doing these courses you can become

1.Research Scientist

3.Bio-informists
4.Quality Control officer
5.Production, Planning areas in Food, chemical & Pharmaceutical Companies
