Denudation can involve the removal of both solid particles and dissolved material. These include sub-processes of cryofracture, insolation weathering, slaking, salt weathering, bioturbation and anthropogenic impacts.

Denudation:Weathering->Erosion->Deposition

Explanation:

  • Denudation-It refers to the overall degradation and levelling of continental land masses.It is  achieved by different processes including weathering,mass wasting and erosion by wind,running water etc.
  • The sequence of denudation is:-Weathering->Erosion->Deposition
  • Weathering-It can be defined as the structural or mineralogical breakdown of rocks by physical ,chemical or biological processes.
  • Erosion-It can be defined as the removal and transportation of the bed rock and the rock materials by agents like air ,water or ice,etc.
  • Deposition- It refers to the settlement of the transported or eroded materials.It occurs when the action of the agents of erosion like running water,glacier,etc. suddenly slows down resulting in the releasing of the load carried by them.
