India share its borders with following countries:-
Pakistan
Afganistan
China
Nepal
Bhutan
Myanmar
Bangladesh
But actually India do not share any border with Afghanistan. After independence J&K was a princely state and when in 1948 Pakistan attacked J&K then, king Hari Singh came to PM Nehru for help. Then Home Minister Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel told him to join with India. Hari Singh agreed and J&K was merger with India.
By that time Pakistan had already occupied some part of kashmir which had borders with Afghanistan. That part is still there with Pakistan.
