Heya ...❤

Shifting agriculture is a very primitive method of agriculture practiced in the forested areas of the Amazon, North Eastern India, Se asia , central america.

Features ⬇️⬇️

●Here forests are cleared by felling trees and then burning them

●An area is cultivated for a few seasons

●When yields start decreasing , the farmers move onto new areas.

●Ash is used which is a good natural fertilizer.

●Yams , and cassava potatoes are grown.

●Old and outdated tools are used.

This type of agriculture is commonly not used these days because it is a wasteful way of cultivation..

Note ➡️Shifting agriculture is called slash and burn agriculture.

Thanks !!

shifting cultivation is usually practiced by tribal people. In this method, a piece of land is used to grow crops for a certain time period and then they move on to another patch for growing there crops somewhere else after burning the previous piece of land completely. After 15-16 years they again return to the previous piece of land on which they were at the starting after burning the piece of land they were now living before.

I hope this will help you and if you feel then mark it to be brainliest!
